The end of June went out with a bang! We were excited to host Chase's 11th birthday party. Our backyard held about 35 people and a good time was had by all. Prior to the party Aunt Sissy (aka Rachel) came over and helped me lay a flagstone walkway. Okay...truth be told she did most of the work, I just passed along my idea of what I wanted, pointed at a few things and helped lift rocks...she was the creative genius behind the completely awesome walkway.
Uncle E (aka Chad) was nice enough to create and mail the invitations for Rachel while she was at church camp with Chase and Hannah. I was impressed; and then I saw the start/end time of the party. 12-4...seriously...4 hours...is he out of his mind? :) But, the invitations were already mailed...we were having ourselves a 4 hour long pool party with 10 -15 eleven year olds...KILL ME NOW! To my surprise the boys weren't too wild. I was totally expecting mass chaos, but it was tame! The 4 hours didn't exactly FLY by, but it wasn't too bad! Uncle E now knows better than to schedule a party for that long...2 hours is preferred...3 hours MAX!! :)
The birthday boy had a great time and hopefully next year we can do it all over again!
